Bless us in whatever experiences this day may bring to each of us. May we plant seeds of blessings to grow in the lives of others. May we have the energy to meet this day and its needs. May we not be distracted by worries. May we each enjoy every single simple quiet moment. Give us honesty and kindness living this day forward.  This beautiful horse Painting hangs in the home of one of my collectors. I was delivering two paintings to her home a week ago, and was thrilled to get to see the other pieces she had hung over the years. The one I’m sharing this morning is one of my favorites. The vivid contrasting colors combined with the horizontal movement of the horses across the water accented by the change of light at sunset, creates that feeling of the close of day, with the closing majest

I did find the final photo of the bubble Horses!   It originally went to a show at Mirada in Denver but traveled to California and sold from The La Jolla Gallery back four years ago. Layers of color and overlays create the entire painting, keeping part of the realism and loosing it to abstract shapes throughout.  I always find the sooner I drop trying to control a painting's direction, the better it is. Let's get one commissioned for you and your home!  The True Original Painted Ponies! Stories usually have a beginning and an end. When you are born and when you die.  In between are small inner paragraphs of stories making up your full life story.  Today many of you can share these short stories from your life... and right now there may be high school teachers, college professors, life coaches, or even headhunters that want the real story of your past including accomplishments, the goals you have achieved, about your first job, or if you are focused on being a leader. They want you to share it all and 'beef it up', evoking empathy along the way to make your story important. People will ta

I painted this for the youngest daughter of my dearest best friend in my life. Take the Netflix Series, Firefly Lane and start it with us being young moms with small children. Life was always better together and especially with Charlene and our kids. I cannot leave out MaryEllen Maddox. She was the dearest of our 'Nanny' members of our family. She was a student from Stephen F Austin State University and she helped with my children while I worked or had classes. My degree was finished but I wanted to teach and had to take some extra credits. MaryEllen was the best! We were all slightly crazy. Charlene and I loved to take off in her Suburban and go east on the country road they lived on, suddenly taking veering turns on to other smaller roads, till we found fl

" Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27 The Power of the Paint In the creating of a painting, there is power!  That is how the painting above was named this morning. The energy was amazing. Painting intuitively brings the strong advantage of power to the artist. There is power in the color of the paints. There is power in the composition of the painting. There is power in the spirit of the paintings. There is power in the creation of the painting.  Each painting has the ability to reach a heart where it belongs! I am considering teaching again from my home studio. Have not decided if I will do a full workshop, but it is on  my mind! It is always interesting t

"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 This painting began with light palette knife sweeps in rich colors of browns, deep reds, and golds. I knew right away it would be horses and I began turning and rotating the canvas to find the silhouettes of the horses in the paint.  They stood out strongly to my eye and I could feel the wind in their face.  Preparing for the Keller Public Art Show, I was blessed to visit The Dutch Art gallery in search of frames for several of my paintings. This frame was the first one my husband found
